We had the pleasure to visit Karasu, a town 2 hours away from Istanbul in the Black Sea. The following activities took place
1st day 01/ 05/ 2O23
– Meeting at Karasu Atatürk Anatolian High School
– School promotion and program presentation by host school students
– Ice-breaker
-Pre-Test
– Informative presentation on Success, disabilities, ableism and Tales of
Sports prepared by the host school
– Poster design on presentation
– Participants are divided into groups and write a sport-themed success tale
on disabilities.
A guided tour in city center
Dinner together (It was offered to teachers by the host school)
2nd Day 02/05
– A seminar on the relation between success and ableism and participants
to share their ideas about the topic
– Participants finished their sport-themed success tale on disabilities and work
on the illustrations
– Visit to the District Governor and District Director of National Education
Cultural Night at the hotel
3rd Day 03/05
-Cultural visit to İstanbul: Historical Tour of Istanbul and Bosphorus
Cruise
– Street Interview: Can disabled achieve good things?
4th Day 04/05
– Seminar on “human voices, acapella and body drumming that can be used in
fabulating”
-Working on human voices, acapella and body drumming that will be used
during the presentation of written fairy tales
-Designing Puppets, Clothes, Etc. to use In Fabulating
– Departure to Acarlar Longozu and Yeni Mahalle
5th Day 04/05
– Group Presentations of the fairy tale they wrote together by using the
costumes, puppets and musical instruments they created during the
workshop.
– Post-Test/ Evaluation
-Certificates of attendance
-Lunch offered to all participants by Turkish team
